Sports Performance

Our sports performance program was created based on the needs I saw in the community. Far too many kids struggle with the foundation before they start working out at the high school level. Developing power, speed, quickness, strength takes a very specific approach to each athlete. It is my goal and philosophy to keep things simple to build a better athlete. Every kid is different and one size all approach hardly works. Having been an athlete within the Ankeny system and having been trained by some of the industries best I feel our approach is world class. 

Age Ranges and Programming

13 and Under - this program is designed to teach basic movement patterns, correct imbalances within the athlete, build a foundation of strength, mobility, stability, and speed. We cover every aspect of strength training and performance, including breathing fundamentals, mastering fundamental movement patterns, pre-movement preparation, strength training, power development, speed fundamentals, and the 7 critical components of effective program design. Making sure each athlete is ready before they advance to that next level in their training. Focus is on movement and making it fun. We know that kids under this age loss attention easily and if the workout is fun they will want to keep coming back. 

14 and Over - By this point most athletes have been exposed to basic movement patterns. Adding in main lifts, advanced power training (if the athlete is ready), and just building off our workout above can improve their on the field/court/pool/rink ability. 

Program design

We run our programs 4X a week with the option to train 2 - 4x a week. If you would like to train 1 on 1 please message us individually. Each training session houses 6-10 kids. All kids undergo personal assessments and given their own individual warm-up to work on individual restrictions or movements. 

Sample program might include:

Upper Dynamic Body (w/ Speed Training) 

Lower Eccentric Training (w/ Jump Training)

Sports Specific Cardio Conditioning (Working in specific heart rate zones based on the sport they play.)

Individual training is price based on need, amount of sessions, and training age.
